Master (soon to be Doctor) Tyler Williams of Codex (of whom I am a big fan) has found what I believe to be one of the most tragic tattoos of all time:
Its owner, Danielle Lloyd (a British fashion model currently amidst some scandal or another) apparently did not check her sources well before inking this down her back.
The text reads as follows:
אונלי גוד קן ג”ודג ם, אונלי גוד כן ג”ודג ם
‘wnly gwd qn g”wdg m, ‘wnly gwd kn g”wdg m
‘wnly gwd qn g”wdg m, ‘wnly gwd kn g”wdg m
Now, those of you who read Hebrew, stop scratching your heads for a moment and take a closer look at the English transliteration.

Let me add in some vowels for you:
אונלי גוד קן ג”ודג ם, אונלי גוד כן ג”ודג ם
‘only god qan judg m, ‘only god kan judg m
‘only god qan judg m, ‘only god kan judg m
Yes. It -is- saying what you think it is. This tattoo has transliterated the English phrase “Only God can judge me” twice and incorrectly.
I believe that on Codex, Pat McCullough commented best:
“Well, only God can judge her.”

i believe she will cover this tattoo in a short while, maybe she should try out something chinese (and hope she wont end up with the words “coca cola” on the back of her neck).
that reminds me of a mexican american guy who wrote complete hebrew gibberish on the upper part of his back, something huge and bold and had no idea what it actually says and asked me and i didnt have the heart to tell him its just a bunch of letters joined together with no meaning so i put him on ignore.
why on earth would you get a hebrew tattoo of english transliteration??

As you say, the Hebrew inscription is meant to be printed twice, but is different both times. The first time it is “kan” with Kof, the second “kan” is spelled with kaf, which makes it look like the Hebrew word “ken”, which means “yes!”. So it could be saying, Ken (yes), God will judge me!

hahahaha this is not the first time i see thin kind of mestakes you know…. hebrew is getting in fashion and people go on internet and translate a sentence they whant… the onel problem??? they do not bring the traslation to someone that realy speeks hebrew to check! :-p

Can somebody translate this to hebrew? …out of darkness comes light…
I saw a girl in NYC a few months back who had a huge tattoo on her back, in hebrew, that said “Milon Angli-Ivri” which translates into “English-Hebrew Dictionary”.
When it comes to tattoos, people should really stay away from languages they don’t know. For real.
Well, perhaps they were bilingual and saying that *they* were the dictionary? 🙂
