Well, I was pretty surprised when I was working on a bit of Syriac-related tomfoolery when I noticed — completely caught off-guard, mind — that Firefox 5 for Mac OS X properly renders Syriac OpenType fonts.
I haven’t tested to see if it’s also the case with other OpenType fonts with character joinings, but hey that’s a step in the right direction!
Peace,
-Steve
Hi, the fonts are also proper rendered in IE 9 running on Windows 7. We’re getting close indeed :).
Dear Steve
I posted a comment on a religion site that you are involved in, but it never seemed to get published, so I thought I would try to contact you here.
What happened to Neil Godfrey’s http://vridar.wordpress.com and Stephan Huller’s http://stephanhuller.blogspot.com/ ? Both those blogs had been stedily rising over the last few months. Now I don’t see them anywhere?
Cheers! RichGriese.NET
Rich,
In the future, feel free to discuss Library-related stuff on the Librarian blog here:
http://bibliobloglibrary.wordpress.com
Huller’s site *is* currently being archived by the Library and is categorized as a Related Blog.
Godfrey’s along with about 330+ other entries, are on the “to do list” as I am re-designing the entire signup workflow.
Peace,
-Steve
