Hi,
According to author Stephen Andrew Missick, the words “I thirst” in the original Aramaic is : “Shiena”. Can one deduce from this that the translation of thirst into ancient Aramaic is ‘shi’ , as ‘ena’ here would be ‘I am’

In Galilean, the pronoun precedes the participle, so it’d be closer to /ëna çahe/ (ë representing schwa). It’s also an active verb, more like how we’d say “I thirst,” in English.
