It is as important to discuss what some of the aims of this project are while keeping in mind what the aims of this project are not.
- This project is not a means to “prove” that parts of the New Testament were originally written in Aramaic. Rather it seeks to explore what insights can be gleaned from understanding the New Testament from its speakers’ original languages and show how at times, the New Testament (as we have it today) may express these insights.
- This project is not a means to test or prove any particular theological or philosophical position. Rather it seeks to be a resource for others to use in the practice of their own personal theology and philosophy. We hope to keep this project theologically neutral.
