Did Christians Really “Steal” Easter?

140416145354-jesus-after-crucifixion-story-top

(CNN) – It’s that time of year again: the time when chocolate comes in pastels, cherry blossoms start to bloom and well-marketed religion exposés are released to the world.

In other words, it’s Easter.

Among the rash of sensationalist stories we can expect through the season, the annual “Easter was stolen from the pagans” refrain has sprouted again just in time for Holy Week.

Don’t believe the hype.

A fun commentary by Candida Moss.

Mark Chapter 1 Re-Released

The Aramaic Words Translation of Mark 1 has been re-released with a new format and textual apparatus that lists and aligns extant Aramaic witnesses to the New Testament alongside the Greek below the footnotes.

It should work well on desktop and mobile browsers, but if you notice any glitching please use the form at the bottom of the Chapter 1 page to report them.

Peace,
-Steve
